Please help Heather's family say goodbye.

Hello!

My name is Tabatha, and I am fundraising for my childhood friend's- Ashley and Amber- who are preparing to say goodbye to their beloved mama, Heather.

On May 25th, Ashley woke up in the early morning hours to find her mom outside on the ground surrounded by police. She was having trouble breathing, and she was sent off to the hospital via an ambulance. Heather was later diagnosed with bacterial pneumonia and then she suffered a large stroke. After a few days of being intubated they found that her arteries in her neck and brain were clogged causing the stroke. Heather was transferred to Albany Med where further testing indicated that she needed a bypass brain surgery that was set for June 10. Before that could happen, on June 4th she was rushed to emergency surgery because she was having stomach pain. A CT scan showed that a part of her colon and small intestines were dead. The Dr's. removed what they could and did a bypass on her aorta artery. She was sent back to her room with her stomach open and went back to the OR multiple times to try and get her closed but kept coming across more problems. On June 16th they attempted to go back into close and exam her insides, but they found the tear turned into a hole. Unfortunately, her intestines are destroyed and there is nothing more they can do. The goal now is to get her closed and comfortable to go home on hospice where she can be with her family and pass peacefully.

This was completely unexpected and has left Heather's girls distraught. Ashley has been left to make all of her mom's medical decisions and it's taken a toll on her. She has been out of work since May 25th, and between taking care of her four daughter's and running to be by her mom's side, she is struggling to stay afloat. Ashely NEVER asks for anything. She is a strong mom and daughter, but she needs to know that others a here for her right now.
