Please Help My Family With Memorial & Other Costs

On Wednesday, May 8th, 2024, after a long struggle with failing health, my mother-in-law passed away suddenly from a stroke. She was a spirited woman who touched many lives and fought until the end of her time with us. She spent her life working with young children, including those with special needs. When someone was in need, she did her best to assist them. She was a wife, mother of five, and grandmother of fourteen. She also leaves behind several siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. We all loved her deeply and are already feeling the weight of this loss.

Although the family had hoped to avoid this, we need to ask for assistance. With my mother-in-law's health issues leading up to her death, as well as her husband's serious medical issues, it became impossible for the family to keep up with mortgage payments. The house is in foreclosure, and if we do not raise enough funds soon, her husband and son will have nowhere to live.

In addition to needing to raise money to save the house, we also need money to help pay for her memorial service, medical expenses, and other end of life expenses. This is only a fraction of what is necessary to cover the expenses. Anything you can contribute will help and is deeply appreciated. Please share this campaign wherever you can. Update 04/18/2024:

The memorial service was this past Thursday. It was hard for everyone there. Co-workers and friends who haven’t seen the family in years were there. It was clear that beyond her five children, stepson, and 14 grandchildren, she was cherished by many.

While the memorial is now over, we are keeping this up to try to fundraise to pay as much of her remaining medical expenses as possible. We still need help. Please, even if you can’t donate much or at all, share this to help us please. The amount we are asking for is a lot, we understand, but every bit counts.
