A faithful friend is a sturdy shelter he that has found one, has found a treasure. Ecclesiasticus 6:14

Pay no attention to the man behind the “camera” some would say but ah…I would tell you; it is just this man who has brought to life the stories of others…the hidden beauty in their caring; their giving, and yes often pain and triumph that I dare you not to weep at were captured in the way that only Jeff could capture it. He was and is the man behind the camera…the quiet, unassuming, humble photographer, videographer and editor of someone else’s story--a gentleman, who in his spare time, packs and delivers meals to those in need, a friend to all indeed.

Today we need to share with you Jeff’s story…his recent journey and ask for your help please. On January 18th, Jeff went to the ER with abdominal pain where they identified a mass in his intestines. Immediate surgery was necessary. The blockage ruptured, perforating his bowels and causing a sepsis infection. While in surgery, Jeff’s heart arrested twice--surgery was halted; Jeff was stabilized, sedated, placed in ICU to await further surgeries and then transferred to Abbott hospital in Minneapolis. Now in Abbot and still on a respirator, Jeff has undergone additional surgeries to remove the new necrotic tissues from his colon and small intestines, as well as the mass and placed on dialysis. Today as he faces more surgery, we ask for your prayers and help with his increasing medical bills. This is going to be a very, very long journey for Jeff. His hospital stay will be lengthy. There will be further surgeries...reversals/corrective surgeries…we pray the kidneys will heal and the sepsis infection gets under control. Jeff’s heart is strong—thanks be to God—and we know his heart as we have all been on the sharing end of this.

Jeff is strong...while in sedation, he recognizes his families’ voices --a great sign that he is fighting the fight.

Please help, if you are able, to share in his burden, to lift him up and to help him continue to share his story and others,  As you know, Jeff is an independent contractor which at this time, means he has no income now or in the foreseeable future.  Many prayers and thanks for anything you can do to help.
