Please Help John Dhooge and His Family

John has worked for our company, Smith Shade, for over the past decade+ and has not only made a name for himself within our industry, but throughout San Diego County and even nationwide through the incomparable level of knowledge and intelligence that he possesses and allocates to his trade. Through his expertise and sensational work ethic, John is a remarkably high-character individual who dedicates his life to provide for his family, all while taking care of our customers with an immense amount of integrity, respect, pride and exceptional service.

While we can continue on to say how amazing John is at what he does for a living, it does not remotely compare to who he is as a person; a loving husband, father and friend. John is as selfless as anyone we know. He will drop everything in a moment to help others, no matter the situation. The kind-hearted and loving gestures John shows those around him is truly something special that only few in this world possess. We are so lucky to have him be a part of our team and in all of our lives.

John has recently experienced a traumatic brain injury in which he took a steep fall. He has since been in a coma in the ICU with a ventilator to assist with his breathing. This news was beyond devastating to all of those around him, and we want to ensure his family has all of the support and love during this unexpected and unimaginable time. His loving wife, Kim, and two sons, John and Kevin, have been by John's side during this challenging time, which has led to them needing to take time off from work. With no certainty on the timeline of John's recovery, we want to guarantee that his family can be taken care of financially without the additional stresses of bills or expenses from missed working hours. We want them to be able to fully focus on supporting and spending time with each other while continuing to be by John's side.

Anything that can be contributed to help John and his family with bills and expenses would mean the world to all of us. We love John and are thinking about him constantly. We know he will continue to fight through this situation with all of his toughness, grit, positivity and beautiful spirit to overcome everything he has gone through. We are hopeful that we can raise enough awareness and funds so that his family can continue to give him all of the love and support he needs.
