Please, Help John LaCoy, Jr. Get Back on His Feet
Donation protected
My name is Ashley LaCoy. I am creating this GoFundMe alongside my sister, Audrey LaCoy, for our dad, John LaCoy, Jr.
Our dad, John LaCoy, Jr., has been an R.N. in the southwest Kansas area for over 20 years. He spent most of those years at Park Lane Nursing Home in Scott City, Kansas, where he was a favorite nurse amongst the residents, patients, AND their families. He just went back to work part time in Lane County now after having a quadruple bypass done.
In order to keep his insurance through work, our dad used all the sick and vacation days he had, but there were several weeks he didn't get paid once those ran out.
Our dad has always been a hard worker and very devoted to everyone he took care of. Now, we his daughters, are trying to take care of him by helping to raise some money for the bills piling up on him. He is the only grandparent his three grandchildren have, so we really want to take the financial stress away from him to keep his heart healthy.
Fast forward months later, Dad’s health has rapidly declined. He has been admitted into Hays Med for nearly two weeks. His body is considerably weaker. He has fallen so much, he’s torn muscles and ligaments throughout his legs. He cannot walk right now. In fact, he is going to be transferred to Garden Valley, where he’ll remain until/unless his mobility improves. Disability is taking forever as usual.
Our family needs all the help right now.
It is our sincere hope that we can raise money for him to focus on finishing his recovery and getting stronger. He's only allowed to work part time (now he cannot work AT ALL and Disability is taking its usual time), but that will not be enough to catch up and keep up with his bills as he also does dialysis eight hours a day.
Please, consider helping us out with this. Our family would be forever thankful.
As always, continued thoughts and prayers are always welcomed and appreciated.
