Please help Josh and his family through cancer treatment.

I've known Glenda since I was six years old. In her time of need, I feel powerless, but creating this page is something I can do, and I'm asking for your help too.
After eight months of convincing, Glenda, who is fiercely independent and always the first to help others, finally agreed to let me set up this page.
Josh, about to turn 13 in the hospital, is a sweet boy with a heart-melting smile. He loves playing his electric guitar (with headphones in the hospital), building Lego, and following the Melbourne United Basketball team. One day, he dreams of becoming a professional basketball player.
In September 2023, Josh was diagnosed with Anaplastic Large Cell Lymphoma (a rare form of cancer) and began intensive chemotherapy. This meant several months in the hospital with only a few days at home. He faced numerous infections and a trip to the ICU, among other side effects and pain. Although initial scans were promising, unfortunately, Josh relapsed during treatment and now requires a bone marrow transplant.
Josh is currently undergoing twice-daily radiation therapy and chemotherapy in preparation for his transplant. He is expected to be in the hospital for at least five more weeks, with a full recovery taking six months to a year. Throughout this ordeal, Josh has shown incredible grace and gratitude far beyond his years.
Josh and his brother Eliot were born in Mexico. After Glenda's marriage ended, they moved back to Australia, where she cared for her elderly father and battled breast cancer during the Covid pandemic, relying on her young boys for support ( Glendas family all live overseas).
The goal of this page is to relieve the financial burden on Glenda (who is a single mother), allowing her to focus entirely on her family. It's been challenging for her to work during this time, and there have been many unforeseen expenses, including hour-long drives to the hospital, meals at the hospital, and care for Eliot while Glenda was with Josh in the hospital. As Josh will have missed at least a year of school by the time he recovers, he may need tutoring until he is strong enough to resume school full-time. I hope this page will raise enough for that as well.
Additionally, I hope to raise enough money for them to enjoy a relaxing family holiday after treatment, giving them something to look forward to.

Please donate whatever you can and share their story widely. Thank you for your time and support.
