Let's Help Karen Kring Get a Car!
12/20/18 UPDATE: “Let’s Help Karen Get a Car”
This fundraiser for Karen’s car continues on. The goal is $2700, thus far we've raised $1,787. Thanks to her generous family and friends we are making lots of progress, but we still have a way to go.
She might still be able to get the 2003 Camry, but there are numerous other expenses including multiple taxes on the purchase. Please consider a donation of any size - let's help Karen get to the finish line.
To thank and reward those who make donations, friends of Karen have created something special for you.

Sometimes it happens: We get caught between a hard place and an even harder place. Sometimes you just don't have enough to get over the hump.
My friend Karen Kring needs a car ASAP.
Her old car broke down in June. Since then she’s been taking the bus, but winter is around the corner...coming fast.
She has asthma. Running for buses or waiting in the cold for them risks draining her energy, a dangerous thing for an asthmatic, especially during the cold months.
I’m willing to sell her my car for below Blue Book price. She needs $1900, plus additional funds for taxes, transfer etc.
About the car: It’s a 2003 Toyota Camry, with many brand new parts. It’s reliable, comfortable and has been consistently well-maintained. This vehicle starts every time and handles well on the road. The interior is light (spotless) gray plush fabric. There was only one other owner - who also did all the necessary car and engine maintenance required over the years.
The body is in better shape than the one Karen had to part with. Camrys are known to exceed over 325,000 miles. This one has 235,000. There are no odors in the car from chemical deodorizers, sprays, or cleaning products. The inside smells only of fresh air, which is important to someone with asthma.
About Karen: It's easy for me to recognize a genuine need. My heart keeps telling me that Karen needs a helping hand to get a safe, good running car before winter really sets in.
She’s a media strategist, photographer and journalist, but more to the point, she's talented, kind and generous. She's constantly supporting and helping others, brainstorming with friends, neighbors and colleagues on how to reach their goals.
She’s a Rotarian and volunteer-holic. Every time I see her, almost monthly, she’s talking about her latest community project.
I think it is time for us (those who can) to give back and help her now, when she really needs it.
Whatever you can donate to this effort will be immensely appreciated. No donation is too small or too large...or if you have a better car to donate, that would be a total blessing.)
Let's do what we can--as soon as we can --to help her get off of public transportation and cold, windy corners and into a safe and reliable car.
Let's do something wonderful by helping her buy this Camry before someone else snaps it up, or find her something even better.
Thank you,
Georgia Roulo
