In the face of unforeseen tragedies, our dear friend Kat is grappling with an immense burden that she could have never anticipated.

Kat's father, who was battling cancer, sadly passed away unexpectedly, leaving her family shocked and heartbroken. Kat's father's lengthy battle with cancer had led to a belief that they would have more time together.

His sudden passing has left Kat in a state of shock and emotional turmoil. She had to rush back home to Aylmer Ontario from Halifax to be with her family during this difficult time, but she was not financially prepared for such an abrupt journey.

As if the loss of her father wasn't enough, Kat's sister has fallen seriously ill and is currently hospitalized.

Amid her own grief, Kat is stepping up to support her family by helping her mother care for her nephew.

With the unexpected travel costs as well as loss of income from being off of work Kat is finding it challenging to make ends meet. She is also worried about covering her rent when she returns home to Halifax, as her current situation has left her financially stretched.
