Please help Kathryn and Matt’s children

This go fund me was created by Kathryn’s family. 100% of money raised is going into ongoing care and support for the children.

Hi my name is Sarah and on the 9th of February I was called by my mum and informed of my Aunty and uncles passing. The tragic event had occurred on the 8th of February at Frasier beach NSW.

My Aunty adored the beach and had gone for afternoon swim with her partner age 39 and her daughter aged 6, whilst she was swimming she was caught rip and begun to panic screaming for help and that’s when her partner had gone in in hopes to save her when he was unfortunately sucked in himself this led to both of their deaths. Luckily someone bypassing had noticed Amelia (daughter) in a panic following after her parents and stopped her from entering the water, Amelia was then safety taken back to her home where her brother was staying with his care worker. The brother (Gary age 9) is affected with a severe disability meaning he has to be monitored and cared for 24/7 and now without his parents there it’s on us as a family to assure that Gary gets specialised support and all of his needs are met.

But our troubles don’t stop here as Amelia also faces severe autism and is nonverbal. Gary and Amelias older sister Abby is also suffering from this heart breaking tragic loss of her father and needs to be supported as well.

Now we are determined to keep Gary and Amelia together and to provide the best care for them. We are appealing to the public to raise money for the challenges that the children will face.
