From Gaza to Hope: Khaled and His Family's to a Better Life
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Khaled, and I am a Palestinian from Gaza, 21 years old. I am writing to you today with a heavy heart, but hope still beating inside me. My family and I face many hardships, and I have always believed that in every difficulty comes a new opportunity, but life in Gaza makes these opportunities difficult to achieve.
I have been through five Israeli military attacks in my life, the last of which was on October 7, 2023, the most brutal and cruel attack. On October 13, our house was completely destroyed. We did not only lose a place we called “home,” but also our beautiful memories, the moments of joy we shared together as a family. We lived hundreds of moments of fear and anxiety, and we were even forced to flee five times. My family consists of 14 people, including young children who have known nothing but life in tents.
Today, we live in a tent in the “Tel al-Sultan” area of Rafah. Life in the tent is harsh, and the conditions are unbearable, especially with the children who are having a hard time adapting to all of this. We do not have the luxury of a functioning bathroom, and even food is difficult to prepare, as we have to light a fire every day to prepare meals. In the summer, the tent becomes a sauna, and we cannot escape the intense heat and difficult living conditions. We live every day in fear, not knowing what will happen tomorrow.
I was a student at the Islamic University of Gaza, studying information technology and dreaming of becoming a professional programmer. I was looking forward to my graduation day, to the opportunity to build a better life. But everything was destroyed in an instant. Today, due to the ongoing threats of a ground invasion, I have decided to leave Gaza and complete my studies in Turkey, where I have been accepted into a university. But to achieve this dream, I face huge obstacles.
I need your help to be able to leave Gaza and continue my studies. Also, help my family to evacuate
Any help you can provide will be indescribably valuable. Not only for me, but for the children living in these difficult conditions. We are looking for hope in a place where there is only fear, and your presence by our side means a lot.
I believe that life can be better, but we need your support. Please, don't let my dream scatter in the winds of Gaza. Share the link with your family and friends, so I can help myself and my family to provide a better life.
From the bottom of my heart, I thank you for every word of support, and for every donation, small or big, you are our only hope in this world.
