Please Help Khaled's Family

My name is Anas, 28 years old from Gaza, Palestine.

I used to have a warm home and a private business that my family and I established from scratch, and everything was going well until the war happened, which destroyed everything I had built. The house was destroyed, and all the branches of the business I had established were ruined. Now, I have nothing except a tent that shelters me and my family in a place where there are no basic necessities of life. Gaza has become nothing but the smell of death, and I need your help for me and my family to leave Gaza and start our lives anew.

Our story of suffering and displacement began with the start of the war on Gaza. We fled under the occupation's bombardment of our home and neighboring houses, leaving everything we owned behind, and we left Gaza for Khan Yunis governorate in the south. After a few weeks, the danger approached again as the area was besieged, and various types of warplanes were bombing everything in the area. We were surrounded by fire belts, in addition to artillery shelling. Our bodies trembled as my family and I tried to escape. The hardest thing we faced during the bombing was the screams of the family's children, and my brother's wife was about to give birth at that time. We left Khan Yunis and headed to Rafah, having nothing to shelter us. We slept on the streets under torrential rain and freezing cold for days. We started to make a tent out of wood and nylon, but it didn't protect us from the winter cold. The tent flooded several times, and we faced difficulties in getting food and water, in addition to the difficulty of finding a bathroom due to the lack of facilities in the area. Now, the winter season has ended, and the summer season has begun, but the war has not ended. We now face the difficulty of the high heat in the tents, the spread of diseases, and the threat of Rafah's entry by land. We have no choice now but to travel and leave the death square for me and my family. Due to our losses in the war, we need your help to leave Gaza and start our lives and work anew.

Before the war, my family and I had a studio and a photography lab, which was the family's income. We were preparing to open a second branch of the business, scheduled for 10/15/2023.

But the war destroyed our dreams and everything we had built. Both the first and second branches of the business were destroyed, and I lost my job in addition to all the graphic design contracts I was working on remotely due to the lack of electricity, internet, and frequent interruptions in communication from the sector, as well as multiple displacements under bombardment. We hope you can help us rise again and rebuild everything that the occupation destroyed.
