Please Help Kris with Unexpected Medical Expenses

Hi, my name is Carolyn and I am fundraising for my friend Kris. Kris and I grew up together in a small town in Alaska and have been close friends for almost 50 years now. Actually, I consider her more of a sister than a friend. She loves new experiences, adventure and lives life to the fullest, always. In July of 2022, she decided to take advantage of a once in a lifetime opportunity and moved over to the UK to live with her boyfriend. His work contract is to end in the next few months and then they are planning to move back to the US. Unfortunately, she started experiencing severe medical symptoms this November and has recently been diagnosed with Afib. This causes her to pass out on a daily bases! She not only is unable to leave her apartment alone, but is not allowed to fly back to the US. The best option for her, according to the physicians, is a pacemaker. Since she is a visitor, has no insurance and cannot fly home, her only option is to have the surgery over there. As you can imagine, the expense is significant!

Being an independent woman who always worked hard and managed on her own, Kris finds herself in a unimaginable scary situation. I am asking for your help as she would never ask for herself. Since this is the time of year for giving, your generosity would be much appreciated.
