Dear friends and supporters,
I am Kristen Kiefer, Chair of the Houston County Democratic Committee, Vice Chair of the 8th Congressional District, and a dedicated member of the state committee. I work for a health advocacy non-profit, where I lead community level efforts to expand Medicaid in Georgia. On May 4th, 2024 I was elected as an At-Large Georgia delegate to the Democratic National Convention for President Joe Biden. Thank you to everyone who supported me and continues to support me. Delegates will sign official documents to make Joe our official nominee keeping up with American tradition and doing their small part to defend democracy and take an active part in choosing our leaders.
Over the years, I've had the privilege of serving with many amazing fellow Georgia Democrats to advance our party's mission and bring about meaningful change.
Since 2019, I've invested countless hours volunteering with the Biden campaign, serving in various roles from hand recount monitor to admin of the official Georgia Biden campaign Facebook group, Georgia for Biden Harris. In 2020, I served as Houston County Democratic Committee’s Chair of Volunteer Recruitment, where we started with just three volunteers. Today, our team has grown to over 300 members. Together, we’ve achieved remarkable success: including bringing in over 10,000 new Democratic votes for Joe Biden in 2020.
This August, I have the opportunity to represent Middle Georgia at the Democratic National Convention. The trip to Chicago is quite expensive and delegates who cannot self-fund are encouraged to fundraise, which is why you're reading this right now. I'd greatly appreciate your financial support which ensures that the convention remains accessible to everyday hard working Georgians like me.
I am seeking to raise $6,000 to cover the costs associated with attending the DNC. Your contribution will help empower me to bring back valuable knowledge and resources to Middle Georgia where we will continue the work of growing our Democratic footprint, shaping our community, and empowering young Democrats to be our future leaders.
