PLEASE Help Leland Christensen's Family

Note from Dana, Leland was quietly being treated for Non=Hodgkins Lymphoma when he came down with covid. I have been asked if there is insurance. Yes.  I started this to help with the things that we all know insurance doesn't cover such as recurring deductibles and out of pocket each year, and all of the out of network and associated hidden costs. The outpouring of your generosity is overwhelming and gives us hope we can achieve our goals, IF YOU WOULD PLEASE SHARE THIS ON YOUR social media IT WOULD BE A GIFT WITHIN ITSELF, we are finding out that many folks still don't know. Leland caught Covid and was admitted to the local hospital on December 19th. Leland has been fighting pneumonia and complications from cancer and chemotherapy. He was moved to a regional hospital on Christmas Eve and then admitted to the ICU December 29, 2021. He is fighting the sickness with everything he has, but he is still currently in the ICU. Leland's battle has been intense so far, but he has been making baby steps of progress. Most recently, his lungs have been making improvements in the right direction. The doctors have told us that due to the chemo complications, it is going to be a long journey to recovery.

 

Leland has a long road ahead of him, we continue to pray for baby steps of improvement each day. At this time we are unsure how long it will take until he is back home in Alta, playing with his family, enjoying the beautiful outdoors and all that life has to offer. But we are optimistic that he still has much to do and many people to help in his future.

 

Prior to going into the ICU, we asked Leland what he thought was the biggest life lesson he had learned so far. He replied, "The love and support from friends and family and neighbors is humbling."

I started this fund raiser in conjunction with the Christensen family due to Leland's Cancer and COVID treatments, which many of you may not have been aware of. Leland has never been one to complain. The long ICU and hospital stay, medical bills and treatments keeping him with us have like many families burdened them with medical costs that are expected to be in far into 6 digits. I like you want to do what I can to help relieve them of the mental and financial burden, if even a little. All prayers and/or donations are deeply and sincerely appreciated by me, and the entire extended Leland and Anita Christensen family, and we all THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts!!
