Please Help Our Family After a Life Changing Motorbike Accident
On Saturday, 5th April 2025, our world was turned upside down.
My husband — a kind, selfless man, an incredible father, and a devoted family man — was involved in a serious motorbike accident on his way home in Nambour, near Super Cheap Auto. A truck turned across his path at an intersection. Despite his experience on the road, my husband had no time to react and collided into the back tray of the truck at approximately 50 km/h.
The impact has left him with multiple severe injuries: a broken tibia, fibula, knee, wrist, and toe, as well as extensive bruising and grazes. On top of the physical trauma, he's struggling with the mental and emotional toll of such a sudden and devastating event.
So far, he has undergone two surgeries, with a third on the horizon. He now faces months of immobility, relying on a wheelchair and unable to bear weight for 2–3 months. Full recovery is expected to take around 9 months.
As the main income earner in our family and employed casually, he will no longer be able to continue his work as a sheet metal roofer — a job he loved and that supported our home and life together.
We’re now facing overwhelming challenges — financially and emotionally — trying to navigate:
- Mortgage and car loan payments
- General living expenses and bills
- Ongoing medical and surgical costs
- Physiotherapy and rehabilitation
- Renting the mobility equipment he needs at home
- Repairing his motorbike (his pride and joy)
We are reaching out with hopeful hearts and deep gratitude, asking for any support you can offer to help us through this incredibly difficult time.
Every dollar, every share, and every message of encouragement makes a difference.
Thank you for being part of our journey,
With love and gratitude,
Briana & Len Taylor
