Please help Lismore and surrounding Suburbs.

Just a week ago, my hometown of Lismore was totally wiped out from the floods. If you are not in Australia, then I'm sure it's been on your news as it has all over ours.

My heart is broken at the sheer level of devastation, so I'm asking for your donation, whether big or small to help rebuild lives. The flood waters were predicted to rise to 12 Metres at the most, but sadly, the waters rose to over 14 Metres overnight leaving thousands of families, the elderly, their pets with no choice but to climb up on their roofs clinging for safety with only the clothes on their backs waiting to be rescued. There is no town block anymore, every single shop has gone under, there is no shopping centre. There is only one chemist left, only two vets left and they are overwhelmed. Most High Schools, Primary Schools and Preschools are gone! Two supermarkets are open at the top end of town but the shelves are almost bare. There are no banks left. The evacuation centres are full, the Farmers have lost most of their stock and there is a petrol shortage! There has been aid and huge amounts of donations of food, clothing etc from the local community and surrounding suburbs which has been nothing short of amazing but so much more will be needed.

On Sunday alone, 900 out of 1000 homes were condemned, so you can imagine how many more will be in this devastating situation.

My Sister and her family had to be rescued and have lost most of their home and possessions; my Brother and his Wife have lost their bedding business and have to rebuild again. My Partners Brother and Wife have lost absolutely everything and had to be rescued. My assistant's Grandfather has lost everything and his health is significantly compromised. I could go on and on with so many more devastating stories, but I think you get it.

I feel once our community can try to start rebuilding, they will desperately need the basics such as white goods, sheets, towels, blankets, tables, chairs, lounges, beds etc. These are items they cannot utilise right now.

Here are two video links which really show the disaster so many are living with.

I thank you in advance, and I promise I will make sure that every single cent down to the last one cent is handed out in the best possible way. To help with this, I have Janine Egan (Accountant) and Annie Petty who is on the ground in Lismore helping at the Distribution Centre.

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you and please share far and wide. x
