Please help Lyn to beat breast cancer.

In August this year, Lyn, our wonderful, kind and loving domestic helper was sadly diagnosed with stage two breast cancer.
She has already had to undergo several major operations, and is currently receiving chemotherapy treatment at the National Cancer Care Centre in Singapore. However, given that there is evidence the cancer has spread, Lyn will have to undergo further radiotherapy treatment and then receive hormone therapy for the next 10 years.
Lyn has tackled this situation with the most amazing attitude. She continues to smile more than anyone we know and has been so incredibly brave, even when she is clearly in pain, or upset at the physical impacts that her treatment is having. Given the current situation, she has had to go through this without her family.
Unfortunately, an additional complication is that we are relocating to our home country in the new year, which means Lyn will not be able to finish her treatment here in Singapore. Under her visa status, she is unable to remain in Singapore without a sponsor and therefore will need to return home to the Philippines.
We are therefore asking for your help to raise enough money to ensure she is able to continue with her treatment once she is back home.
Lyn undertook a huge sacrifice leaving her two sons in the Philippines in order to secure the best possible future for them. She has been supporting her family by working in Singapore for the last 12 years and was hoping to return home soon. She had been hoping to return sooner, but sadly she has experienced several setbacks over the past few years. She lost her home to a typhoon which has resulted in much of her savings going into rebuilding a house. She recently tragically lost her husband, leaving her as the sole provider for her family; she is currently supporting a number of members of her family that are unable to work due to the pandemic. Lastly the diagnosis of her cancer means her time in Singapore and ability to generate further earnings will be greatly reduced.
Whilst we are helping her as much as we possibly can, we would like to ensure she is able to beat this latest setback, return to the Philippines without having the additional worry of how to pay for her medical treatment and spend the time with her two boys and wider family which she so very much deserves.
Lyn is not covered by health insurance in the Philippines and the government support is limited. Therefore, the money raised will directly cover the medical expenses that will enable her to complete her treatment. This includes completion of her chemotherapy, radiotherapy and hormone therapy as well as the accommodation and transportation costs to and from the hospital. Anything raised over and above the medical expenses will go towards her family’s daily needs whilst she is not able to work during her treatment and recovery.
Thank you so much for your generosity and support.
