Please Help Marcus Find Comfort in His Final Days
Donation protected

My name is Diamond (orange shirt, back row on the end), and I am creating this page for my father, Marcus Davis (back row, third from the right). He is pictured here smiling and it captures who he was before his battle with cancer started; it was important to me for people to see who he was and not just what is left of him. At just 56 years old, my dad is in the final stages of his courageous battle with stage 4 colon cancer. For years, he fought with everything he had—enduring surgeries, chemotherapy, radiation, and every treatment doctors recommended. Despite his determination, the cancer spread, and now, the doctors have said there’s nothing more they can do.
Recently, after a grueling 90-day hospital stay, my dad was told that hospice care was his only option. While he wanted to keep fighting, the reality of his condition has set in. He’s now home, living alone, with only a nurse visiting twice a week. At 5’5” and weighing just 100 pounds, he is incredibly weak and can barely care for himself.
Unfortunately, his medical coverage does not include in-patient hospice care, and our family cannot afford the out-of-pocket costs. This GoFundMe is our last hope to give my dad the compassionate, 24/7 care he deserves in his final days.
My dad has three children—two of whom are still minors. It breaks our hearts to know his time with us is running out, but we want to ensure his last moments are spent in peace, comfort, and dignity. Living in California while he is in Arizona has made it challenging for me to be there as much as I wish, and the family we have in Arizona is doing everything they can, but he needs professional, round-the-clock support.
Please, if you can, consider donating to help us admit my dad into hospice care. Your kindness will ensure he doesn’t spend his last days struggling but instead surrounded by compassion and comfort.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for any support you can offer—whether it’s through a donation, sharing this page, or keeping my dad in your thoughts and prayers.
