On Tuesday November 27th retired SFPD Captain, Mario Delgadillo sustained a fall down his garage stairs which resulted in a fractured neck. He was immediately taken to SF General where he underwent emergency surgery to shave bone from his vertebrae and put 8 screws in to hold his neck in place. There have been several complications, however the doctors have good feelings he will recover. He was transferred to Kaiser on Tuesday, December 25th and continues to make strides daily.
Mario was a San Francisco Police Officer for 35 years and did his tour through the divisions including vice, narcotics, gangs, patrol, LT airport, many stations, HSU, Marine unit, and ending his career as acting Night Captain. He served in the US Army for 6 years, serving 2 years in Korea.
In order to aid in his healing, we are asking for help with funds to convert his garage into a handicapped accessible living space. No amount is too small. Please help someone who has helped so many. Thank you in advance.
