Please help Mark Weiner and his family

We are raising funds to help our friend, Mark Weiner, and his family with medical and living expenses. On August 29th Mark unexpectedly had a massive heart attack. Mark was without oxygen for a long time and lost all brain function. It Is hard to believe that we are losing someone as strong and lively and full of ideas and opinions, sardonic and funny as Mark. I think we all also saw the warm and caring side of Mark – and now he will share that caring as he has donated his organs to help others.

Mark and his family only recently moved across the country to the St. Helena, California community. He and his wife and business partner Michiko have just opened their new glassblowing studio and showroom in Calistoga, CA. The business is now on hold while Michiko devotes herself to Mark’s legacy and their children.

Mark has always been very generous, in so many ways, we’ve all received much from him – invitations to meals, pieces of glass, a litany of terrible jokes, books, whatever he thought you may need. We now ask for your generosity and support for Michiko and the kids to cover the unexpected expenses of Mark’s medical care and the loss of family income.
