Please Help Mary Joy With Her Medical Bill

My name is Carrie Dahl, and I'm asking for help to pay some medical bills for our Philippina friend, Mary Joy. We were first connected to Mary Joy several years ago through a sponsorship program with Grace Christian Mission in Caloocan City, Philippines. After Mary Joy graduated from the Mission School we were able to help her financially to attend university for social work. Mary Joy has not had an easy life, but she has helped to care for several siblings while studying hard and making her way through the college program. Last week we were informed by Grace Christian Mission that Mary Joy needed an emergency appendectomy. Unfortunately, there were no beds open at the public hospital, and Mary Joy was required to receive surgery at a private hospital. As you can imagine, Mary Joy does not have funds to pay large medical bills. The hospital estimates the bill to be around 100,000 pesos which is the equivalent of $2,000 US dollars. Thank God, Mary Joy is recovering well, but it would be a huge blessing to her to ease this burden from her shoulders.

As I've communicated with the director of Grace Christian Mission, she encouraged me with Proverbs 3:27 "Do no withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in your power to do it."
