Please Help Single Mom Care For Special Needs Son

We are reaching out on behalf of a friend who has been facing immense challenges recently. Mary Pike, a single mom, has dedicated her life to caring for her two boys, aged 12 and 10. However, she has encountered unforeseen difficulties that have put her in a tough spot.

Her eldest son, who is deaf and has been diagnosed with Autism, is grappling with mental health struggles requiring specialized care only available in Chicago (five hours away). This has forced Mary to travel back and forth frequently, causing her to lose her job. Unfortunately, due to the necessity of being there for her son, she couldn’t maintain regular work attendance.

As a result, she has fallen behind on bills and is struggling to make ends meet. This year, she was unable to afford Christmas gifts for her boys, making an already challenging situation even more heartbreaking. To make matters more difficult, Mary is facing these hurdles alone, having lost both of her parents.

We are reaching out to our compassionate community in the hopes of offering support during this tough time. Your contribution will go directly towards helping Mary cover essential bills, travel expenses, and provide a belated, but much-needed Christmas for her children.
