Please Help Matt and Liz Start a Family

Matt and Liz started their journey to having children four years ago. After trying for two years with the help of IUI, Matt and Liz decided to try IVF. Two days after their first appointment, Liz had a positive pregnancy test! IVF would have to wait. This pregnancy was the beginning of a long rollercoaster ride. After four lost pregnancies, two ectopic pregnancies (one with a heartbeat), and the loss of Lizzie's fallopian tube for her only working ovary, Matt and Liz were pushed back to IVF.

Matt and Liz just completed their first round of egg retrieval. The doctors were able to retrieve eggs, but at each stage of the process, more and more were lost. In the end, their number went from 8 to 0. Liz found that her eggs would not likely be viable to have a baby. IVF was an expensive loss, ending with no baby and no refunds.

This news did not stop their journey. Matt and Liz have decided to move forward with a donor egg. In hopes of doing another round of IVF, we wanted to help raise funds to cover the cost of the egg for Matt and Liz. We would be humbled if you would help them reach their goal.

Matt is an Army Veteran who served in Iraq as a medic on the active battlefield. Lizzie works with children with special needs in our educational system. These two together will make the best parents, and we want to help make this dream a reality.
