Please help me raise $ to get my kitties and I housed

My name is Laura and I'm 59 with numerous disabilities. I'm reaching out to you with a heartfelt request. Recently, I have been experiencing a tough time. I am currently residing in a motel with donated funds from kindhearted people who don't want to see me live on the street with my two beloved cats. I don't have a car and this compounds the situation. Despite my difficult situation, I try to remain resilient and hopeful, striving every day to get back on my feet.

The reality of homelessness is harsh and it’s even more challenging with pets who depend on you. My kitties are not just pets; they are my only family. They provide me with love and companionship during this incredibly difficult period.

I exist on monthly food stamps and GR cash of $221 and I'm appealing my SSI case. Because food is so expensive I have under $10 left to buy food for myself and I don't get my assistance again until 1/3/25. Thankfully my kitties have food to last until then.

I am creating this GoFundMe campaign to secure a safe place to live where I can stay with my cats and not on the streets until my permanent housing is available. I'm unsure exactly when that will be. I'm on many list for housing which will allow me to have my cats and get the supportive services that I need. I believe that January of 2025 I will hopefully be placed into SRO Housing until a permanent unit becomes available.

The funds raised will go towards my motel, food, and basic necessities while I work towards regaining stability and independence.
