THANK YOU For Helping Me Bring Fluff Home

Final update: Well, HE'S HOME!!!
It was a weird pick-up. I had to wait for an hour in the waiting area before they released him. She actually listened to my concerns about meds and gave him 2 liquids and a capsule. He's NOT a fan.

Ultimately, I was a little bit short on the bill, because no one can add I guess - and also I *had* to get the 10 bag of SPECIAL Urinary formula food, which I'm sure was $50 or so.
But, he's here and his brotgers are over the moon. All 3 of them were flying all over the place - and even flattened Fluff a few times. They're very insistent about getting all of the "doctor" smell off of him, so he's been bathed mercilessly this evening.

He spent a lot of time just slowly wandering around, looking at everything, like he was trying to redresh his memory, but he was climbing up to the back of the couch well before bedtime. He's not quite ready to snuggle-sleep with Soxy, but I'm sure he'll perk up more tomorrow.

He's actually still pretty sick, which scares me because I know he'll give me trouble with his meds. So, if you wouldn't mind saying a quick prayer for my boy, I'd appreciate it. They can only catheterize him once more, and if he obstructs a 4th time, he will be surgically altered to - basically - make him a girl.

That said, for right now, I'm just going to be thankful that he's home and up and around. They said at the vet that he must have been missing his family, because, every time he heard another cat in the back of the office, he'd go over to the cage door and talk to them. Like he was reassuring them or something.

So, that was Fluff's coming home day. I hope and pray that he'll take his meds and get all of this resolved, I really don't want him to need her again. He needs to go back to have his pee checked again before he finishes the one liquid medicine, but that will be IT! If for no other reason than the distance.

Anyway, thanks, again, for being the amazing people that you are. This story would be so enormously different, without you.

Hi everybody, it's me, Michelle. I need your help. Fluff went to the vet, Wednesday, January 12, 2022, because he was having urinary problems.
After looking at him for a couple of minutes, the vet began berating me about his condition and tossing around words like SURRENDER and EUTHANASIA.
I was told that his care would cost $1,000 or more.
Unfortunately, I just don't have that sort of money.

I was then told, if I couldn't pay the bill, then (again) I had two choices: euthanasia (because this could happen again), OR, I could surrender him - then, he would receive treatment, be turned over to a local rescue, and, put up for adoption.

What would you do? How would you feel, if someone took your furry family away because you didn't have the money - in that moment - to pay a large bill?

I was devastated...broken.
I watched him be BORN...
I've been with him EVERY MINUTE of his life...
I've watched him play with his brothers...and fight...
I've spent an accumulation of hours - possibly DAYS - watching him sleep, curled like a pretzel or completely intertwined with one or more brothers...
I've listened to his "stories" on his really vocal days, argued with him on his noisy days, and laughed as he grumbles at his toys as he plays.

To have him suddenly taken away - from me and his Mama Callie and his brothers, Dewey, Quinn and Soxy, was just terrible, and cruel.
I felt like I had no option but to surrender him - I certainly couldn't even consider having him put down.

And then, I came home, and, as I often do, I vented to Facebook. My anger, my heartbreak, my sadness. Suddenly, there were friends, from all corners, sharing my frustration and asking how they could help. "What can I do?", was asked more times than I can count - and I'm so grateful for that.

So, here it is - my only answer to "What can I do?"
He's nearly ready to come home - possibly as early as tomorrow - and his bill has to be paid in full before I can bring him home. The only thing is, I don't know exactly how much it's going to be.
Therefore, I'm asking for your help to get him back!

Anything helps - it all adds up. I will be forever grateful for your generosity and your caring hearts. From me and Callie, and The Brothers - Dewey, Quinn and Soxy, my mom, and especially, FLUFF....THANK YOU!
