Please Help Me If You Can. Please Read My Story.

Hello Friend, my name is Dee. I recently retired from the workforce. Put in my years. Due to the social security system, I've discovered I'm on my own when it comes to medical coverage. I'm not sickly but need glasses and eye surgery desperately. Our system only pays for diagnosis, not a cure. Being on a very limited income, Social Security is barely enough to live on. I'm trying. Had to quit my part-time job because the govt was going to take away part of my medical coverage. Now I'm in dire straits. The worst part is that if I can't see then I can't work or drive. The govt doesn't understand that.

I really could use some help. For some reason, Oklahoma will not help with glasses. I need cataract surgery. It's $1000.00 up front. Medicare will pay the rest, they say... crossing my fingers and praying! I'm fortunate enough to have a vehicle. It needs only tires and gas. It's a 3-hour drive to get the surgery I need.
