Please help me in saving my little one's life

We are Neha and Mudit. We are professionals in India, working for reputable companies and were very happy with the birth of our beautiful daughter, Mishika, in the summer of 2022.

Mishika is a happy, bright child, as you can see in her photo. She is the love of our lives and as first-time parents, we spend all of our spare time (and more!) with her. We have watched her grow and marked every step of her growth eagerly. She is such a joy and completes our family like nothing else could.

A few days ago, however, we got some shocking news that has shaken us to the core. She was diagnosed with a rare genetic condition called "Spinal Muscular Atrophy disease" (SMA). It means that Mishika cannot control the movement of her muscles. Over time, we are told that she will have trouble doing basic things like sitting, holding her head up, or even drinking milk.

Our doctors here tell us that the treatment is available in India, but the cost is Rs. 17 crore (170 million rupees = just over $2 million USD). They say that one injection of this medicine, Zolgensma, should be enough to repair the damaged gene and halt the deterioration of her nerve cells. Our hope is that this will give our little baby the ability to grow more normally.

We are middle class people and can take care of normal medical emergencies ourselves. But there's no way that we can afford a $2 million bill.

The system in India is that you have to pay up front. That means that we have to come up with the full amount before Mishika can receive this treatment.

Plus, time is running out. The longer we wait, the more Mishika's nerves and muscles will be damaged. We are at wits end right now and this is our desperate plea for help.

Please give what you can. Of course, we will give everything we have. But every little amount helps.
