Please help me to afford tumor surgery for my dog!

Hello there!

Thank you for reading. Today, I'm asking for your support in affording my beloved dog's tumor surgery.

As my partner and I are both disabled and make very little money, we're severely struggling to foot the large vet bill.

We've spent many sleepless, desperate nights trying and failing to figure out solutions on our own, but now with less than 10 days remaining until the surgery appointment, we're out of options.

We need help to get Wanja the treatment she needs.

I am ashamed to ask as I know many people around the world are struggling, too, but I also know how powerful community online can be, and I hope this campaign finds its way into the hands of a few generous souls. <3

What exactly is this campaign for?

Recently, we found two rapidly growing tumors in my dog Wanja's belly and had to schedule surgery.

I love her dearly, and Wanja is also a huge source of comfort and stability for me during mental health crises (which happen often as I deal with depression, PTSD, OCD, self harm, suicidal ideation, and GAD) or autistic meltdowns/overwhelm. After the past decade with her by my side, I can't imagine being or coping without her.

You might find this silly, but on another level as someone who can't have children, my dog has always been my baby, and I am beyond devastated.

Her illness hit me and my family extremely hard, both mentally and financially. I've been stunned, desperate, and very disconnected from everything.

How will the money be used?

The money would go directly to me, Wanja's owner.

Any donations would be used to cover pre-surgical testing (blood work etc), tumor removal through surgery, lab testing of the growths, as well as medication and other supplies for her recovery, post-surgery check-up and removal of stitches, plus transportation cost to and from the vet clinic for the appointments as we don't own a car.
