Please help: Melonee's New Hip & Associated Costs

My Mom, Melonee, always does all she can to help others around her, especially her friends and family. Within the last few years, this has included taking in her grandson while working and being in Grad School. She has also needed to spend a lot of resources, including money, to meet her grandson's various medical needs due to his recent diagnosis of Marfan's Syndrome. Meanwhile, she has been having issues with her hip, which has rapidly gotten worse, and various treatment issues are no longer working. For about six months, she slept on the couch, and even now, sleeping in her bed, she experiences the most intense pain, which causes her to throw up due to how severe the fire in her body feels. I would love to see my mom sleep throughout the night and be able to walk through campus comfortably. She will be having a total hip replacement at the end of January which will only partially be covered by insurance. To continue being able to walk and care for others, she has to move forward with the surgery. We're asking for $5,000 to help cover her portion of the medical bill, which is $2,500, and other immediate needs (a new car battery, tires, future medical transportation costs for her grandson to the Children's Hospital in the Twin Cities, and other various bills). She's deeply thankful to all those who have helped her in multiple ways while trying to manage everything these last few years.
