On Nov. 17, 2024, at the young age of 48, Mercy Sunot joined our creator after a gallant fight with cancer.

She leaves behind her 2 young children Mary Borjal and MJ Borjal, sisters Stephanie and Juliet Ken and their mother.

As the lead vocalist of The Aegis Band, she has brought joy to many. She was diagnosed a year ago and underwent treatment. Due to financial restrictions, her family could not be with her and she was supported by numerous friends in the SF Bay Area.

Even when sick, she generously shared her amazing talent and continued to sing and entertain her fans in California.

Let us join hands in compassion to help Mercy Sunot's family return her remains to the Philippines, where love and memories will lay her to rest.

This fund has been set up under the auspices of SMNF (Samahan ng Mga Nagkakaisang Filipino), a non-profit Corporation organized under the Laws of the State of California. SMNF will not collect any fees. The funds will be used to underwrite the cost of bringing the remains of Mercy to Manila and any excess, should there be any, would be donated to the bereaved family.
