Michele Swanson

Michele Swanson is a dear friend of the Rock Creek community in Gordonville, TX. She was diagnosed in June 2022 with Triple Negative Inflammatory Breast Cancer, Stage 3. This is a very rare and highly aggressive type of cancer. Michele is receiving her treatments through a collaboration between MD Anderson and Texas Oncology. Her treatments are costly and expected to last two years with various intense chemotherapies, immunotherapies, radiation, and radical surgeries.

Tragically, her husband John died in May of 2020 suddenly. Due to the unexpected death of her husband, Michele has experienced both emotional and financial loss. This has been a very challenging time for Michele, dealing with two extreme life-changing events.

Michele is a fighter and determined to beat this cancer diagnosis, but she needs our help. She has a strong support network but cannot work full-time. There are medical expenses as well as additional expenses for trips to Houston.

First and foremost, she asks us to pray for her. She is a faithful Believer who trusts in God's plan for her. She hopes that her story can lead others to Christ by watching her steadfast walk by Him. Her message to all of us is, "Thank you for loving me!"
