Please help Milo’s Recovery - Paralyzed
Donation protected
Hi, we're Tiffy and James. We are raising money for our baby boy, Milo. He is the cutest 3-year-old Frenchie. Mr. Milo is such a sweet, silly boy who brings so much joy and life to all. He loves going to the park, his walkies, treats, playing fetch and with his toys, sleeping, and of course, cuddling. He has the loudest snores and the stinkiest farts. He loves people and making new friends. He will do everything to put a smile on your face.
Unfortunately, on July 7th, 2023, Milo lost feeling in both his back legs and is currently paralyzed from the waist down and is scheduled for surgery on July 11th, 2023.
Timeline of events:
July 7th • Rushed to Emergency Hospital around 11 pm, and they told us that he needs to see a neurologist ASAP • Called different places (near and far) for a neurologist, thankfully one was able to see us so we rushed to Emergency Hospital #2 • Milo had no feeling in his back hind legs • They did exams and CT scans and told us they could not find anything surgically that they could fix. We were told to wait and see if he will be able to regain feeling in his back legs July 8th-10th • Milo stayed in the care Hospital #2 July 9th • Good news: The doctor said he has some pain sensation in his back left leg! July 10th • We transferred Milo to Emergency Hospital #3 for an MRI scan. MRIs are more accurate than CT scans so we’re hopeful they can find something. • More good news: Neurologist thinks Milo has pain sensation in both back legs! July 11th • MRI scan was done, and results show that there is a pretty significant disc herniation in his back that is affecting his spine • Surgery is scheduled for later on in the day Milo is expected to come home on July 12th.
Since Milo has feeling in his back legs, the neurologist is optimistic he can be walking again in about a month!! Milo still has a long road to recovery but we are so hopeful that the surgery and everything goes smoothly for him to walk again. Our poor baby just wants to run and play and he doesn't understand what is happening. He has been so strong in his condition.
This all happened so suddenly and was such a shock. We are so devastated and this has been so hard on us in every way; emotionally, physically, etc. Especially for Tiffy, she has been through so much in the past few months. Her grandmother passed away in May and her grandfather passed away in June and now this situation with Milo. The expenses and emotional heartache have been stacking up and have been hard to manage with these events happening one after another.
Even though we are in this situation, we are still trying to stay positive and focus on doing everything we can for our little guy. Please, if you can, any amount donated will be such a huge help and very appreciated. All money raised will be used towards the care of Milo including his emergency visits, hospital stays, medication, CT scans, MRI scans, surgery, recovery, and anything else to help him. He is such an amazing, strong boy and you can help get him back on his feet (literally)! From the bottom of our hearts, our little family thanks your generosity. We will share updates and Milo's progress along the way. Thank you so much!! Love Tiffy, James, and Milo ♡
