Please help Molly come home

My name is Michael Lautieri and I’m here to humbly ask for your help with saving our loveable Great Dane Molly. If you have had the pleasure of meeting Molly, you would know she is one of the kindest and sweetest gentle giants you will ever meet. We rescued Molly 5 years ago from the Great Dane Society and she is the reason we as a family were able to trust dogs again after my wife was attacked by a previous rescue. Molly is bonded with her brother Ralph (our little goofball German Shepard Mix), and they frequently have adventures together. They are inseparable and will often wait at the door until the other returns from yearly vet checkups and appointments.
Last week Molly began experiencing severe diarrhea and after a day, it became uncontrollable for her. We tried all the remedies, fasting, and white rice with chicken broth, with no success. On the third day, we noticed blood and the diarrhea was no longer normal, it had become liquid with no consistency or thickness to it. We took Molly to the ER this past Sunday and have since spent close to $6,000 for care and surgery. Monday, they performed an ultrasound on Molly, and we were told there was a linear foreign object in her stomach and that she should have immediate surgery to remove it. After much debate about whether we could afford such an operation, we moved forward with it. Today she had her surgery, and I received a bittersweet phone call afterward. The surgery went fine, and Molly was recovering but they were unable to find any object in her stomach. They have suggested additional routes we may take but at this point, we can no longer afford any treatment without help.
Any donation you could make would make a huge difference in us continuing to help Molly and figure out what is going on with her. We miss Molly greatly and it has not been the same without her in the house. It breaks my heart as I go through my daily routines and find myself filling up Molly’s food dish or grabbing two bones out of the cabinet for her and her brother before bed. Ralph continues to lie at the door waiting for his best friend Molly to come home. Please help us bring her home.
