Help Ms. Caroline recover from losing her home.

On the morning of November 30, 2022 an EF2 Tornado hit the Flatwood area, a small unincorporated community just north of Montgomery Alabama.

Ms. Caroline Bankston (an employee at Montgomery Expressway, the Millbrook Toll Bridge) and her significant other awoke just in time to take cover, saving them from any physical harm.

The house she has been renting for over a decade was hit hard. This Tornado peeled the roof right off of the house while Caroline and Tim hid in the small interior closet.

After many days of First Responders clearing rubble and power lines, I was able to drive to her house located just off Lower Wetumpka Road.

The area had been ripped apart and it was like I had just walked onto a movie set - unimaginable destruction laid out in front of me.

Ms. Caroline was shaken to the core, distraught over her home being torn apart, and afraid of what was to come in the aftermath.

Thankfully her vehicles only had some minor damage and with the help of a couple of different organizations, she was able to get some storage units for her belongings and a room at an extended-stay inn (where she is still living today).

The man she had been renting from decided to bulldoze what was left of the house instead of rebuilding. There was too much damage to make repairs.

Grateful and beyond thankful for all the prayers sent her way she has returned to work but is still out of sorts. She's unsure what the future holds at this moment in time and needs our help.

Fundraisers have been held in the community to try and help everyone that was affected by this Tornado. The United Way, The Red Cross, and county emergency funds have done what they can to help get her this far and it has been a true blessing.

Now is the time we need friends, family, and loved ones near and far to help get Ms. Caroline recover from this precarious situation
