Please Help My Daughter Get Her Kids Back

My name is Amy. I am setting up this Gofund me account for my 28 year old daughter, Angel.  After being in a toxic relationship with a narcissistic sociopath for 8 years, Angel found the courage to take herself and her two children away from their abuser February of this year. They moved back home to a safe place with myself and my husband. Her soon to be ex-husband is verbally, emotionally, psychologically and physically abusive. He alienated her from all friends and family for years.  He threatened Angel during their relationship, that if she ever left him, he’d take the kids from her and she’d never see them again. 

On May 31, 2020, Angel went to their meeting place to pick up her children from their every other weekend visit with him (an agreement made with lawyers).  He never brought the children back. He abducted them, took them to the police station to tried to file a false report of abuse against my husband (picking up the 3 year old by his shirt and throwing him on a bed) and neglect against Angel.  There was no evidence, so only an incident report was filed.  He was not satisfied, so he filed the false allegations to Child Family Services. They immediately believed him, allowing him to keep the children.  Angel was only allowed FaceTime calls with her children.  As everyday passed, her 9 year old daughter’s demeanor changed for the worse.  She’s being brainwashed and possibly abused. During this time he also moved the children from Orange where they used to live and moved into a new rental home in Highland, he refused totell Angel where he took the children or who had them at any given time. The two times he did allow her to see her kids, she had to do so through a locked fence. 

Meanwhile, a CFS social worker was conducting an investigation. She finished her report, containing untruth’s and omissions.  There was a court hearing and the judge read the report and let the abuser keep the children and gave Angel 3 supervised visits a week. She lost her phone calls as well.  It turns out the social worker left out all of the evidence Angel gave her. CFS is only interested in protecting their own incompetent case worker and not the children. It seems they believe the complaining of parent with absolutely no evidence and treat Angel as though she’s guilty until she proves herself innocent. How do you prove something that never happened, never happened? Angel has cried, begged and pleaded with CFS to assign a more experienced worker on her case. Preferably someone who has dealt with a narcissistic abuser,  But her pleas have fallen on deaf ears. She has been relentlessly climbing the chain of command with CFS, begging them to help her children and look at her evidence, but they refuse. 

Because of COVID-19, the court process and investigation has been 10 times more difficult than it would’ve been.  

Angel is a wonderful, loving, caring Mom. She always puts her children first. They are happy loving children because of her. She has always had them 90% of the time or more during her marriage. Before “he” took the children, Angel was physically training to test for San Bernardino Sheriff Department. This is a dream she’s had for several years, but now all her focus is on getting her children back. 

The next court hearing is on July 8, 2020. The $7,500 is merely an attorney retainer fee. I know she will need more, as those fees escalate quickly. It was very difficult to find a lawyer who specifically works against CFS. Angel still needs a divorce  attorney as well, but the focus is on getting the children back, back to their Mom, to a safe environment and into therapy. 

We are helping in anyway we can, but what we have isn’t enough. We appreciate anything you could give to help!
