Please help my family evacuate Gaza

My name is Rehab, and I am a Palestinian residing in Ottawa, Canada. I write to you with a heavy heart, seeking your support for my family in Gaza during these dire times.

 Our remaining Abdallah family includes our father, our stepmother, and our younger siblings Amr (17), Khalid (13), and Qasim (10). Our father, already aged and recovering from a stroke just a week prior to the war, is in urgent need of medications that are now scarce. We are deeply concerned for his health, alongside the safety of our entire family. 

Since the onset of the conflict, they have been forced to flee their home multiple times. Initially hesitant to leave, our father relented after witnessing the terror in his children when the neighboring house was bombed by the IOF in Khan Yunis. They hastily packed what little they could and sought refuge near Rafah, enduring weeks of uncertainty in makeshift accommodations. Despite his frail health, our father's resolve to remain in Gaza persisted, despite our pleas for him to reconsider. Eventually, exhaustion compelled them to relocate to the seaside, where they found temporary shelter in a hut, amidst constant bombardment from air, sea, and, more recently, land. 

As the bombings intensified in their area, we implored our father once again to leave. We are committed to exhausting all avenues to gather the necessary funds to secure their passage through the Rafah crossing. However, the current rates stand at $10,000 for adults and $6,000 for children, presenting a daunting challenge for our family. 

We understand the weight of our request and would not make it if we had not reached a breaking point. While our father has always been steadfast in his desire to avoid becoming a refugee again, there comes a time when a parent's heart cannot bear the thought of their children facing constant peril. 

Your assistance in bringing our family to safety would mean everything to us. Thank you for considering our plea during this incredibly challenging time.
