PLEASE HELP MY FRIEND SARAH OVERCOME A DEVASTATING ACCIDENT
Donation protected
On September 4, 2024, my friend Sarah’s life was turned upside down in a harrowing accident. While driving a heavy lawnmower up a truck ramp, the mower tipped over and fell back on her, fracturing her spine (T11 vertebra). She underwent emergency surgery and is now facing a long, challenging recovery. As a self-employed worker, Sarah’s injury means she cannot perform her normal work tasks or drive for an extended period as she recovers, leaving her in an urgent financial crisis.
Sarah has always been a hardworking and independent individual, supporting herself through reselling a variety of products and pet sitting. Her reselling business involves lifting and moving heavy items like chainsaws, grills, furniture, and kids’ large electric toy cars—tasks she simply cannot perform right now. Her pet sitting business, which requires physical activity and driving, is also on hold.
GOOD NEWS UPDATE 9/15/24: Sarah’s fiance has stepped up to move some large items out of storage for resale on their yard on the w/e. (Like a garage sale). This will help supplement her income, but she has lost half a month of sales and continues to be unable to pet sit as this requires driving and physical activity. Her fiance is also trying to help out financially, but there is still an income loss, which will make paying the upcoming hospital bills a daunting mountain to climb.
All told, with mounting medical bills and a $2000 monthly rent, Sarah needs to cover necessities—monthly bills, food, etc., while she’s unable produce her normal income. To make matters worse, she has been caring for 15 rescued animals since May, spending over $1000 of her own money on their care—vet visits, vaccines, heartworm/flea prevention, food, etc. Despite her efforts, she still has 11 animals needing urgent care or new homes.
I’ve set up a fundraiser to help Sarah during this critical time. Our goal is $3000 to cover her immediate expenses and provide some relief. These funds will go directly to Sarah through me, ensuring every cent reaches her. (I am directing the funds through me since many of you know me and hopefully trust me but may not know Sarah. I will be transferring every cent directly to Sarah. You may have seen me try to help find homes for her rescued dogs and cats on Facebook or other social media platforms.)
Sarah has always been there for others, and now she needs our help. Your generous donation will ease her financial burden and help her focus on recovery. No amount is too small or too large—every contribution will make a meaningful impact.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR KINDNESS AND SUPPORT IN HELPING SARAH THROUGH THIS CHALLENGING PERIOD.
NOTE: Sarah urgently needs to find homes for the remaining 11 rescued animals (2 adult male dogs, 3 four-month-old puppies, 1 adult female cat, and 5 four-and-a-half-month-old female kittens). Any assistance or leads on rehoming them would be deeply appreciated, as she can no longer care for them herself.
