Please Help My Grandparents rebuild after a Flood

Donation protected
Hi everyone,

I am only doing this as so many people have offered to help and asked to donate after seeing my video on Island Echo of my grandparent's flooded flat. We have seen how kind people are so thank you.

My nan and grandad are now safely with me, my dad and step-mum (they are my step-mum's parents) and the reality of the situation is slowly sinking in. We got what we could but it happened so fast, we had to get them out as a priority. My grandad has Parkinson's and Dementia so this is all very confusing for him.

We have just been back hoping that the flood waters had subsided but they were deeper than when we left. We have salvaged what we can but so many things have been ruined and the sentimental and personal items are the hardest to get our heads around.

They do have insurance but this will obviously take time to sort out so any donations in the mean time will help to get them get through the next couple of weeks and hopefully help them realise that not all is lost, and things can be replaced.

They will be staying with us as long as needed but we do not have the biggest house and with a little bit of help and donations, they may decide to stay in a hotel to escape for a couple of night's too, or even find some temporary accommodation.

We just want to help them navigate through the shock of the situation, and want to say thank you for the kindness shown so far.
