Please help my mom Diane McNamara

Not to soon after my dad, Richard McNamara, passed away back on January 20, 2022; my mom started to slow down physically. Then she had a bad fall outside and her knees hit pavement, where she hasn't been able to walk since then. The fall happened on May 17th, 2022. She was in a couple of different physical rehab facilities, but the movements in her legs got worse. She had back surgery for a bulging disc on June 16th, 2022, but there was no major change in her legs. When she had the MRI done on her back, the doctors thought she had cancer throughout her spine because of all the black voids they saw on the scan. They did a biopsy and it came back benign thank goodness! She was discharged to her house on July 15, 2022 and we were not prepared for this. She has been on hospice, where that is covered by Medicare. However, we have been paying out of pocket for in home care givers. We had to spend down her savings to under $2,000 before she would qualify for a Medicaid paid bed in an assisted living facility. We are at the point of sending in the last bit of paperwork to qualify her for this next step. I have also applied for VA benefits for her and that can be another month before we get any assistance. Both of these processes have been very very long. We really need financial help while we wait. My mom is such a loving person and she doesn't deserve any of this. It's been my responsibility to help take care of her and I hate to ask, but I need this financial help. I appreciate everyone who has been keeping us in your thoughts and prayers!
