Please help. Sara Worch is fighting Breast Cancer.

Our sister gives to everyone; now she desperately needs your help! Please read this!

A true Eim b’Yisrael, a woman who is always taking care of everyone else, now needs our help. Just after becoming a single mother, our sister Vered received a shocking, devastating diagnosis: Triple Negative Breast Cancer, an aggressive, potentially lethal disease. Her precious children, friends, and family are in shock. She has accepted her nisayon with unbelievable bitachon.

Vered is only 41 years old, b”ah, has five beautiful wholesome children, b”H and has worked as a Developmental Therapist, Parenting Coach, and preschool director. She is an active Rebbetzin in her Community. She has volunteered for the Shabbat Project and Bikur Cholim, made meals for families in need, and invited hundreds of guests in need of a place to eat and stay. Anyone in need in her area knew her number.

Due to the treatment regimen, her immuno-compromised health, the COVID pandemic, and the need to care for her children (whom she is now homeschooling), Vered is unable to return to work

She has to hit her out-of-pocket maximum before much of her care will be covered by insurance. The average treatment for her type of breast cancer runs between $130,000 and $150,000 a year. She must also care for her children, home, and other everyday expenses, plus secondary expenses from her illness.

We say “Lo aleinu…it shouldn’t happen to us.” But it has happened to Vered. Becoming a single mother, dealing with cancer, and becoming unemployed… all in 5780, the year of the pandemic. Now a new year is beginning and what better zechus (merit) can you bring to the Heavenly Gates than helping this young mother who is always the first to step up when someone needs help? She is uncomfortable that we are asking for assistance in this way but she got a psak from her Rabbi that she must allow it, for her children’s sake.

Please give whatever you can to help our sister and her family. All donations will go directly to the trust to protect and manage any donations to her and her children’s health and care. If you prefer to donate directly, through other means, feel free to contact us by clicking the contact button for more information or with any questions.

May you merit to be written in the Book of Life.

Here is some of what her closest friends and family say about her:

“I have always marveled over her love of Hashem and people and her dedication to her family and community. She could win a Mother of the Year, Teacher of the Year, Friend of the Year, and Chesed award, every year. She lived with my family in Lakewood before moving to [her home*]. I was already in awe of her drive and warmth then, when she was in her early twenties.”     -Yael

“Vered is beyond a superhero. She always puts everyone and everything before herself. Even during the beginning of chemotherapy, she checked in to make sure everyone was ok.”     -Nicole

“Vered is the queen of hachnacas orchim. She is a true tzadeikis, baalat chesed and friend- no one can ever speak badly of  her.”     -Rachel

“Vered is an amazing mother. She is patient beyond compare.”     -Dina

“She has always been there for everyone. She advocated for families to secure resources, services, and therapies, getting help for families who couldn't afford it.”     -Sara

“Vered has done so much chesed, and she is now reaping its rewards. She has received so much food [since she got sick] and she uses the chesed network that she created to share what she can't consume.  Who would love those desserts? Who likes mango (to which she is allergic)? Who needs this sweater?”      -Rachel

“I know that Vered will use whatever money she gets to take care of her home and her kids…responsibly.”       -Yedida
