Please help my Ukranian family!
Donation protected
I am raising $5000 to help two women, my Ukranian relatives who are currently fleeing the war. My niece Larissa (19 y.o.) and her mother Sveta (55 y.o.) ran away from Kiev shortly after Russian invasion on February 24. Larissa (daughter of my cousin Zhenya) was a sophomore student studying bioengineering in KIev. Sveta worked her whole life as a pediatrician. The two women crossed Polish border on March 5 and are currently staying outside Warsaw, hosted by a friend with ten other refugees in the same house. The money you donate will be used to pay for their expenses as they immigrate to the US. Thank you very much for your generosity!
On the picture, Sveta, Zhenya, and their daughter Larissa, the day before women left Ukraine. Men between ages 18-60 are not allowed to leave the country.

My full name - Diana Soline Chornenkaya reflects my Ukrainian heritage. My Ukranian father grew up in Kiev. I have lots of childhood memories of traveling by train to Kiev from Moscow where I grew up to visit my grandparents Vera and Ivan, my aunt and uncle Ludmila and Nikolai, and two cousins Gena and Zhenya. The overnight train made stops in villages and towns along the way. Local women brought home made bake goods, fruits and berries to the train for purchase, enjoying their food was the highlight of the trip. Tragically, all those villages and towns have been heavily bombed...Over one million Ukranian women and children crossed the border since then making it the worst humanitarian crisis in Europe since World War II.
