We are Nina's Gymnastics Center. A gym founded on strength, leadership, teamwork and family. We have been in the Maspeth area for about 20 years now, located on Grand Avenue, but our doors have been open, teaching the beauty and art of gymnastics for 40 years in total.
We are not only home of " State Regional and National champions" as stated in our advertisements. We are also a home away from home, another child's favorite after school activity, a place to grow and learn, not only strength and gymnastics wise, but also to grow as a person. We are dedicated to all of our children's not only athletic aspirations but their life ones as well.
Not only are we fortunate enough to have such a great group of eager athletes, but also supportive parents who are dedicated to their child’s success and happiness. We have had many children come in and out of our doors and each and every one we try to make their experience at Nina's one that they can look back on and smile, and hopefully make a positive impact on them. Friendships and bonds have been created through our doors and have extended past them as well.
Since closing our doors due to COVID-19 about two weeks ago, we have been told by the landlord that we have to pay 100% of our rent, which is not cheap at all being in NYC , and while having no income at all coming into the school this will be a very difficult task for our owner/head coach Igor Kolpakchi, to uphold. We do not want to have to close our doors permanently if this quarantine that the city is under takes too long.
Anything helps, please help us keep our doors open. We would greatly appreciate any help. This is our passion and livelyhood to teach gymnastics and to help children grow and learn and maybe even have them develop their own passion for the sport and life as well
