Please help our Crumb

My name is Salacious Crumb, and my life is on the line.

Surrendered from a breeder that no longer wanted me, I quickly became the apple of everyone’s eye.

I was adopted, neutered, received a dental and was looking forward to a home as a loved pet.

On Sunday, I began to vomit and show minor signs of a respiratory infection. My shelter caretakers started treatment in the hopes I would mend quickly, but I only grew weaker.

I was rushed to the vet and an ultrasound determined I have Intussusception. This means a part of my bowl has slid into the next. This has caused the flow of fluids and food through my bowel to become blocked. My intestine is swollen and bleeding.

I am in critical care at Animal Specialty in Rockledge for stabilization and emergency surgery.

In just 24 hours, my life changed from the excitement at my forever home to fighting for my life.
