Please help our friends Garret & Agata Lauer

Hello Everyone,

 

My name is Pete Lynch and I have known and worked with Garret Lauer for about 10 years now. In all those years Garret has been the most giving person I know. He literally would give you the shirt off his back and I have seen that several times. He even had the word GIVE tattooed on his hand. He frequently is a top Fundraiser for the Children's Miracle Network and is always fundraising to help the kids. He married the amazing Agata who works as a Nurse in the Philadelphia area and she has been helping with the Covid cases for the last 2 years. Late last year they found out that they were expecting and were both on top of the world.

 

After several doctors visits it was determined that their baby boy is one of 40,000 diagnosed with a Sacrococcygeal teratoma (Tailbone Tumor). Mommy is one of 1% of women who developed placenta Previa in pregnancy and also recently got diagnosed with a cervical varices. This is so rare that it has maybe been seen once or twice at one of the top hospitals in the nation. These conditions can cause extreme life outcomes and obviously there is a lot on their minds. They have spent all of their days & nights in their Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia room for the last 2 months and will need to remain in the hospital until the baby is born.

 

I have started this Go Fund Me for a few reasons, the big one is because I know that their pride would never allow them to ask for help, so I will do it for them. They do need our financial help for the reasons below.

 

1. They are both out of work and it is unknown when they will be able to return to work. They haven’t been working since November 23rd & with the current condition, it could very well be 4-6 months before being able to work again. Garret, the tour manager for 80's star Tiffany and the producer for Garret Lauer Events and the Give Music Tour, has been off tour and will be until after the baby is born. Agata has exhausted all her vacation, personal & sick time and is out of work through out rest of pregnancy and after for surgery recovery.

 

2. After the baby is born, he will undergo surgery and will be in NICU for a couple of weeks to fully recover. The hospital will be sending the tumor for a biopsy and they will find out it the tumor is benign and what further management in his life their son will need.

 

3. They recently bought their first home together & put most their funds into starting a new family and home.

 

4. They were excited to get their house ready for the baby and decorate until this big rarity of events happened for both baby & mommy.

 

The bottom line is that our friends are in a financial crisis and could really use our help. Baby Lauer is due in March but could come any day now. Each day beyond today is a blessing as he continues to grow. Once born he will require surgery and we all will send our love and prayers that surgery is successful.
