Please help our Mum get back to Hope 4 Cancer

Hi everyone,

Thank you for taking the time to read our mum’s story on how she found and sought help from Hope 4 Cancer Treatment Centre in Mexico.

For those who don’t know her, she is extremely uncomfortable about asking for financial help. As her kids, we have decided to create this Go-Fund-Me page to raise funds so we can give our mum a chance to fight her disease and return to a normal life.

Her life as she once knew it changed when she was 1st diagnosed with Ductal Carcinoma Breast Cancer in 2004, at 36. Fortunately, the lump was removed before it had become aggressive, followed by chemotherapy, radiation, medications and all the side effects that come with it. The initial diagnosis was devastating for mum and our family, but she gathered all her strength & kept fighting until she was in remission.

Eight years went by as she lived a happy and healthy life as a single mother with her kids by her side until her cancer returned in the same breast. Not thinking this would ever be something she would have to experience for the 2nd time, we were heartbroken and had lived the same trauma all over again. Despite the news, she was determined to beat cancer again but had no idea what that journey ahead of her looked like. She bravely decided to action a full mastectomy along with reconstruction surgery. The emotional and physical difficulties that came with the procedure left mum feeling defeated and mentally exhausted, yet she never gave up. She had fully recovered and was incredibly grateful to have been cancer-free… well, so we had thought!

In 2019, for a 3rd time, cancer had returned to the lymph nodes in her neck. At this point in her life, she was a broken soul. The fear of the unknown led her mind down a dark path she never thought her life would come to. All the treatments, doctors’ appointments and scans had put a significant burden on our family both emotionally and financially. Soon after, results showed cancer had metastasised to her bones, Stage 4. After taking chemo medication for two years, cancer was still spreading to different parts of her bones. She could not continue working as she suffered from body aches and constant fatigue due to the cancer.

She knew she could either let cancer defeat her or overcome it once again. She chose to take control and began her healing journey through extensive research on alternative therapies and medicines. She joined many cancer-related forums and studied everything she could accessible about her disease to help prolong her life. She discovered a Holistic Centre in Mexico, Cancun, called HOPE 4 CANCER - a facility that has been proven to aid cancer patients throughout their healing journey. As difficult as it was for her to swallow, she called upon extended family to help fund her first visit to Mexico, given how costly the treatment was. 

During her short time there, she found a new breath of life and a sense of inner peace that she had never experienced before. The facilities delivered by the cancer clinic, along with the multitude of treatments they provide, we believe can lead to our overall goal of our mother being cancer-free. Furthermore, after witnessing the positive results of other patients, we are hopeful that our mum may have the same results. Just after 5 months of returning, we have seen a slight improvement in her general well-being in addition to her overall health, hence why we want her to return to continue the process. The support around her gave her a sense of positive reassurance and the spiritual growth she needed to try and heal. We’ve never seen our mum feel so hopeful.

It saddens us to say that her cancer continues to spread to different parts of her bones. Despite these recent results, she is still fully committed to her treatment plan provided by Mexico. Her doctors from H4C require her to return more frequently to closely monitor the cancer and make changes to her treatment to prevent it from worsening. Please help us in helping our mum get back to H4C to continue down the path that she believes will make her dream of being cancer-free a reality.
