Please help our mum get lifesaving treatment

On the 5th February 2024 at 14:35 our beautiful mum gained her wings at home surrounded by her family, dogs and cats mum has battled for nearly two years a vicious and horrible disease. Mum has shown strength, positivity, determination and above all she has literally fought for her life until the very end. Our mum was determined she was leaving Oldham hospital at the beginning of January and wanted to prove the Dr's wrong, she did just that and left to go to Springhill hospice. Mum kept fighting and she was determined to leave the hospice to go home and again prove the Dr's wrong and she did just that. In the end she was so happy to be at home surrounded by her animals, she had achieved what she set out to do but she was so tired and in so much pain.
Our mum is now at peace

UPDATE:
Prof Vogl has had the consultation with mum, he says he was very pleased with the scans, it’s stable and there has been slight but clear reduction in the size of the nodules tumours in all areas. Prof Vogl thinks two more treatments and it should “sleep”.
At that point she can go back to the nhs for surgery and he will provide a report or she can continue with Laura at the clinic who he has a lot of faith in and go back to him for scans at a later date.
He targeted the peritoneum again but that’s just a starting point as it then moves around the body but in a much more focused way making it more effective than traditional treatments.
Mum is booked to go back on the 20th December for another round so we are back to fundraising again for her next round. This appointment is just before Christmas, we have everything riding on this treatment hopefully doing enough to be able to go back to the NHS and fight for surgery to remove the rest of the cancer. Without the Germany treatment we were facing the worst but now this has given us all hope that things may be ok. Its still a long road to go but we are seeing positive results from Germany.
The treatment in Germany has shown better results than we ever could have hoped
..................................
This is a fundraiser for our beautiful mum who has spent over a year battling cancer but now requires urgent funds to go to Germany for an alternative chemotherapy treatment. Our mum has advanced peritoneal disease which has spread to her ovary and returned to her bowel. The consultants where also suspicious that they believe it has spread to her liver.
As a family we are doing all we can to try and save our mum’s life. On the 9th October we went to an appointment where we were expecting to be told an admission date for surgery to remove as much of the cancer as possible however we were told that our mum had around 9-12 months to live. The consultant advised us that the chemotherapy she had been getting hadn’t worked, and she wasn’t going to be put forward for the major/HIPEC surgery which is the only option to save her life. The consultant advised that the cancer was far too spread to be able to go in and operate and the option they presented us with was palliative chemotherapy which had a 20% chance of working but this would only prolong her life to around 18 months. We left this appointment feeling heartbroken and at a loss as she has basically been written off as in their opinion there are no more options other than to offer a 20% chance chemotherapy to keep her comfortable for however long that may be.
Through extensive research, our mum found a private clinic locally that offers alternative treatments and It is through this clinic that she found out about 3D scanners and a professor in Germany who takes on private patients from all over the world. They offer scans which give a clear picture, but they also carry out a procedure called TACE. This involves injecting chemotherapy through the femoral artery directly into the cancerous areas. Our mum flew to Germany on the 16th October and had a consultation with the professor, had scans done and also the actual procedure of TACE. The professor has given a better outlook as to our mums situation and has not written her off like the UK has done. The professor has advised he is not going to give up on her and he refuses to let her ruin his statistics!
Our mum has been having high dose IV Vitamin-C treatment at the local clinic which statistics and studies show is effective for cancer. For this to be most effective it needs to be done 2-3 times per week and at £300 a go, so its very expensive. Our mum has managed a couple of sessions so far but really needs more.
Our mum is due to return to Germany on the 22nd November to see if this round of Chemotherapy has controlled the spread – or, an amazing outcome would be shrinkage.
The cost however for Germany is £3,400 per session plus travel expenses to Germany and her Vitamin-C sessions that she has before chemotherapy and after. The chances are she will need several visits and as a family we have rattled our savings, we have all been trying to pull together but now we really need help with fundraising the costs to get treatment for her.
This all started last year where our mum spent months of being poorly before it got to the critical stage of her going to A&E and requiring emergency surgery due to a bowel blockage which turned out to be cancer in August 2022. They operated and in March 2023 this year her blood tests flagged up issues and this is when we found out that the cancer had returned but a lot more aggressive.
Our mum is the most wonderful person, she is kind, funny, thoughtful and would do anything for anyone. Our mum is also a nanny to 3 very young children aged 3, 5 and 9 and she is loved so much by them. We cannot settle for what the NHS have told us and we need to continue fighting and getting her alternative treatment so we and her grandchildren can have her for many more years to come.
Any donation you can give whether it is small/large would be greatly appreciated so we can get our mum on the plane on the 22nd November to Germany. Sharing would also be amazing x
