Please Help Our Wonderful Friend Annie Lamer
Donation protected
Hi there my name is Tracey Herinckx and I am a long time family friend of Annie Lamer.
Annie has been suffering from tonic clonic seizures over the last five years. Some of which have been life threatening. On November 2, Annie woke up in the ICU; it had been 36 hrs before she had even known what had happened to her. She suffered from 5 tonic clonic seizures, and was in critical condition for several house. Thank God her fiancé Victor was home and had called 911. It saved Annies life.
It was incidentally found that she has an abnormally large cavernous malformation in her brain, after doing a scan for a concussion back in 2017. It has been determined that this malformation could be causing Annie’s seizures. Some of the symptoms Annie has had are migraines, severe headaches, problems with memory, stress, anxiety, and dizzy spells. She is now tentatively scheduled for surgery at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota to have the Cavernous Malformation removed next month. Annie will need to travel to the Mayo Clinic and Victor will be accompanying her. All of the costs of the flights and hotels are being put on credit cards. Unfortunately we are never prepared for these life changing events, and even though Annie had a small savings, it has quickly been depleted by being off work and paying incoming medical bills.
What Can You Do To Help?
One of the best ways to help Annie and her family recover from this setback is to alleviate some of the financial burden they are facing. Annie currently works as the General Manager of Tommy Bahama in Kamuela, HI and has been there since August 2011. She unfortunately does not have the short term disability insurance yet and has been off work since November.
While there is absolutely no obligation to donate, please know that any amount will be greatly appreciated. These donations will go directly to Annie and will help alleviate some of the financial impact of the mounting medical bills and loss of income. Thank you for taking the time to learn more about Annie and please keep her and her family in your thoughts and prayers.
