PLEASE HELP OUR FAMILY AVOID HOMELESSNESS

Hi, my name is Jim. I'm a 56 year old husband and father. The girls in the picture are my babies, 7 and 10 years old. Their 2 older brothers live here as well.

At the beginning of this year I nearly died from bacterial meningitis and was unable to work for nearly 6 months. During that time we were evicted and lost EVERYTHING. Our former landlord even kept our family photos. We were homeless for several months before finding the house we're in now. We moved here in June.

The people who own this house have been great. When we first moved here they helped us by letting us slide on some of the initial move in costs and buying basic furniture for us, etc. However, a couple months back the decided they no longer wanted to wait for us to repay them for that help and gave us until December 31 to pay the more than $5000 in initial move in costs, furniture cost, etc.

I gave paid over $2500 of that at over $300 each week. But 3 weeks ago I lost my job. When I missed making a weekly payment we were served with an eviction notice.

Since then I've applied for hundreds of jobs and attended numerous interviews. But I have not decided another job yet.

I fell like I've failed my family and I don't want any of them, ESPECIALLY the little ones to be homeless again. Their Christmas is already going to be pretty much non-existent.

The money in asking for will allow me to keep a roof over their heads and pay a couple bills. Please help me to keep my family safe and warm. Thank you.
