Please help Peachy Bo

We are beyond devastated to advise that our beautiful Peachy has Ewing’s Sarcoma Cancer.  She will start chemotherapy next week for nine months.

Last week, Brooke Bretherton’s world came crashing down when her beautiful almost two year old daughter Peachy was diagnosed with a large tumour on her spine. Brooke and her family are devastatingly all too familiar with the fear and desperation that cancer brings, having lost Peachy’s beloved father Joel, to a brain tumour just over a year ago.

Peachy will turn two in October and will most likely spend her birthday in Brisbane’s Children’s Hospital. Brooke and Peachy live in the Byron Shire in NSW and were granted an exemption to cross the border for admission to Brisbane Children’s Hospital for treatment.

Her oncology team have told Brooke that Peachy has a long road ahead of her with two potential outcomes depending on the diagnosis of the tumour.

If the tumour is benign they will undergo the painstaking challenge to remove it via multiple surgeries followed by rehabilitation and recovery.

In the unimaginable event that the tumour is cancerous, our little Peachy will begin chemotherapy to shrink the tumour before she undergoes multiple surgeries to remove it.

Either way they will spend months in Brisbane in temporary accommodation away from their home and their family.

To think Brooke is now facing this journey again with the fear of losing her little girl to the same cruel disease that she lost her adored husband, is completely overwhelming.

Please help us take the financial strain off her journey so that she can focus on Peachy’s health. And for those that aren’t in a position to assist financially, please send all your positive thoughts to our darling Peachy.
