Please Help Police Officer Steven Braswell

Hello, my name is Jason Prince and I am hoping to raise funds for my brother in blue as he fights for his life!

Steven Braswell, an El Mirage Police Officer in Arizona contracted the deadly COVID-19 virus on June 17th, 2021. Steven immediately started feeling the effects of the virus. His wife, Stephanie, ultimately had to call an ambulance for him. Steven has since been in the hospital and remains there to this day. Steven had double pneumonia and after weeks of fevers and sickness, the antibiotics just couldn’t knock out the pneumonia. A biopsy of his collapsed right lung, revealed he also had “valley fever” ( just google it) in his lungs as well. Steven has since been intubated and sedated. Stephanie was then faced with the decision to take Steven off the vent and have a tracheotomy performed in hopes it would save his life. The tracheotomy was a success! However, when Steven finally woke up from 3 straight weeks of sedation, he awoke to 3 chest tubes draining his lungs, a feeding tube in his stomach, a PICC line for antibiotics, an IV, complete atrophy of his body, and a breathing tube coming out of his throat. He was scared too death and didn’t understand what was going on with him! He and I have since had some tough conversations. And he understands he’s going to require a lung transplant to survive. Doctors have advised that since he’s made it to this point, he can survive, but it’s really up to him.

STEVEN WANTS TO LIVE!!

And he’s ready to fight, but he can’t do it alone. His wonderful wife Stephanie no longer works so she can be with him everyday. We have hundreds of people praying for them both. But they need our help with funds. The hospital bills are going to be astronomical. El Mirage PD is standing by Steven and support him 110%, and city employees have donated their own time to help Steven continue to get a paycheck, but it’s not going to be enough.

Your donation will help Steven not only financially, but more importantly mentally. As he will not have to worry about providing for his family as he fights through this process to live.
